Rindercella

Friday Weston decided that he would do laundry and I would do dishes. So he went and got his Army Laundry bad, which fits approximately 3 loads of laundry, and shoved the whole thing in the washer. He put the soap in and disappeared. While doing dishes I noticed the washing machine making weird noises so went to see what was going on. Of course when I noticed how many clothes were in the washing machine I freaked out on him. This isn't the first time this has happened and he knows that our washing machine can not handle that amount of clothes. It is old. More than 1/2 of the clothes were not even wet. The soap was not dissolved. For pete sake the water level wasn't even on high. I was so mad and irritated that I told him to just go away and I would take care of the laundry myself. How hard can it be. Did the military really set him up for failure in Korea by letting them use industrial sized washing machines or does he just not understand?! Do I have to sort the laundry for him and put it in piles one at a time of what he can wash and how many clothes? OR should I just keep doing it myself. I am sure he doesn't mind that option. While I am venting I will also tell you how much I love that when I do laundry I fold, hang, and usually put away ALL of the clothes. But when he does laundry, he throws his clean clothes in the closet, only sometimes hanging them up, and leaving mine in a pile on the bed or in a laundry basket.

Dear Army,
WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!
Sincerely,
Melissa

Saturday (Yesterday) I:

Scrubbed the back door with 409.
Scrubbed the Laundry Room floor with 409.
Scrubbed all the floor boards in laundry room, kitchen, living room with 409.
Scrubbed the door ways and bedroom door with 409.
Vacuumed the laundry room, kitchen, living room, hall closet.
Washed all windows in house and car.
Dusted all windowsills, and flat wood surfaces.
Ran the new dishwasher a few times before use, then did dishes.
FINALLY GOT MY IRRITATING HUSBAND TO LEAVE THE HOUSE.
Did 11 loads of laundry. Folded, hung, put away.
Organized my side of the closet, and turned hall closet into a coat closet.

Don't worry, I wore my awesome purple rubber gloves while using 409 to make sure not to harm the baby!

Weston washed the dog and sprayed off the back door for me while I was scrubbing the out side of it.

Weston and I took the dryer apart and cleaned it out to prevent a fire and so that our clothes would dry in an hour instead of 140 minutes. We found a lot of coins, including a 20 cent euro and a game token.

Weston helped me to figure out why the washer was leaking. I cleaned up all of the water off the floor then he unhooked the hoses off the wall and dumped them on the floor. After me asking him, probably not in a nice way, to clean up the mess he just made that could have been avoided, he kicked the trash can out the back door, threw a hissy fit. then returned to the bedroom to watch tv and play on the computer... Which is where he was basically the whole day while I cleaned. I managed to hook the washer water hoses back up myself, which was no problem, and put the washer back so I could continue to do laundry. Thanks so much for your help hunny!

All in all, I had a very productive, pissed off day. I was under the impression that once I started working (30 hours a week and sometimes more) that I was going to get some productive help around the house. Like my mom told me, "Just remember, you are pregnant, not handicapped." I can clean, I can do house work, I can do whatever within the limitations. I shouldn't be lifting much or moving household appliances. I have mood swings and I understand that. No one knows better than me when I am having a mood swing! Just tell me, am I wrong to ask for a little help around the house?

My thing is, if instead of helping me you are going to complain and (excuse my language) bitch at me for being in the way or not doing it right, or whatever.... Then leave this damn house and go hang out with your friends and don't come back until sun down! Growing up, I hardly would clean when others were home because it was so much easier to do when the house was quiet. It is easy to mop, or since we do not have a mop right now, scrub the floors with a sponge and washcloth while no one is walking on the wet floor. It is easier to scrub the dirt and dog crap, I think, off the back door- inside and out- when no one is trying to come in and out of it. (Then when I locked the door, they were like cry babies and pouted and complained that they had to walk an extra twenty feet to the front door.)

I know that I am not the only wife who sees things this way. I posted a status on facebook yesterday saying," Wonder when I'm gonna start getting paid to be the maid."

Then, I was honored to see this on another friends status this morning...

A wife is disatisfied with her husband not holding up his side of the bargain to help clean. Someone posts that she should be thankful she's got a good man. Hmm...she is missing the point entirely. Just because someone is a good man or woman does not make them a good husband, wife, or parent. Just like a bad person can be a great spouse or parent. Look at the mob families. Their children and spouses often rave about what fantastic family men they were and yet they were heartless, cold-blooded murderers. This is also how a man or woman who is respected at work can also be disrespected at home. Often people use their stellar performance as a respected person to the public as a crutch to justify bad behavior at home. "Everyone else sees how wonderful I am- why can't you see it." We should be careful not to justify our own (or others) bad behavior simply because we may be excelling in other areas of our life. This does NOT mean we are excelling at being a wife, husband, or parent. While being a good or bad person does affect personal relationships in life- being a good man or woman is completely different and independent of being a good husband, wife, or parent. Those titles must be earned independently because they are totally different animals. Just another thought...

GLAD TO SEE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO FEELS THIS WAY!!!!

How to Fix FB News Feed

Need help fixing your Facebook News Feed? Here is what I did with step by step directions.

Step ONE
Click on the down arrow.

Step TWO
Click on Account Settings

Step THREE
Click on Notifications

Step FOUR
Un-check the Email Frequency Box

Step FIVE
Go back to your home page and see your news feed.
There are "Top Stories" at the beginning.
On each blue triangle, click them and the top stories
will turn into regular stories in your news feed.
It's not 100% normal, how it used to be,
but it is much better and back in order of posts by time.

You have to do this each time a "Top Story"
comes up, but it is worth it in my opinion.

I hope this helps! If your email frequency button doesn't show up then I have no idea how to fix it! Sorry!!!

Daily Love

"Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins."
Proverbs 10:12

Today's Daily Bible Verse, from Christian Notes was something that I needed to hear. I need to remember to stay positive and optimistic all the time. God wasn't angry at people, he forgave them for their sins and love them. God didn't spout mean things when he was upset, he died on the cross for others' sins.

Being hateful will get us no where in live. Love will get us any where. In fact, all of Proverbs 10 covers some ground that we all need to walk on again. Read over these verses and take it to heart. I know that I did. God sends us simple reminders that we are in the wrong and that we need to get back in touch with him!

1The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
2Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.
3The LORD will not suffer the soul of the righteous to famish: but he casteth away the substance of the wicked.
4He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.
5He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.
6Blessings are upon the head of the just: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
7The memory of the just is blessed: but the name of the wicked shall rot.
8The wise in heart will receive commandments: but a prating fool shall fall.
9He that walketh uprightly walketh surely: but he that perverteth his ways shall be known.
10He that winketh with the eye causeth sorrow: but a prating fool shall fall.
11The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: but violence covereth the mouth of the wicked.
12Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
13In the lips of him that hath understanding wisdom is found: but a rod is for the back of him that is void of understanding.
14Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
15The rich man's wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
16The labour of the righteous tendeth to life: the fruit of the wicked to sin.
17He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction: but he that refuseth reproof erreth.
18He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
19In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.
20The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth.
21The lips of the righteous feed many: but fools die for want of wisdom.
22The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.
23It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
24The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.
25As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
26As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
27The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.
28The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.
29The way of the LORD is strength to the upright: but destruction shall be to the workers of iniquity.
30The righteous shall never be removed: but the wicked shall not inhabit the earth.
31The mouth of the just bringeth forth wisdom: but the froward tongue shall be cut out.
32The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable: but the mouth of the wicked speaketh frowardness.

Forgetful in Week 11

Wow, at work this morning I went to change the food menu on the white board for the parents and children to see and had not idea what day of the week it was. I could have sworn that yesterday was Tuesday. I asked the ladies up front and they laughed hysterically. Then I had to go back up there to find out the date. I used to be so on top of what day it is and the date and everything but our baby is stealing my brain. Good thing I am one smart cookie! Therefore, when I wrote week 10's update last night I was thinking that is was earlier in the week.

BUT it is not, which means that today, I am 11 weeks pregnant. Here is a better picture of what the baby should look like now.

My cousin told me I looked fatter last night, so I must be showing a little. Maybe I have just gotten used to my changing look, but I don't feel like I am showing very much. I guess that is a bonus to being skinny all my life. There are people who are only a week or two ahead of me who are showing a lot! I have a feeling that one day I am going to wake up with a very large baby bump. Maybe he/she is hiding towards my back. That would most definitely explain my lower back pain.
Your baby is about the size of a lipstick tube at this point; weighing in at about 9 grams and measuring around 2 inches long.  With a dopler, a handheld sound wave stethoscope, you should be able to hear the baby’s heartbeat at this point.  All of the critical development is done at this point, now all that needs to happen is for your baby to grow.

Right now, your baby’s head is about half of it’s length.  The forehead bulges and sits very high on the head.  On an ultrasound you would be able to see the clear outline of the spine.  Spinal nerves are stretching out from the spinal cord.
The reproductive organs develop very rapidly this week.  The external genitals are developing into either a penis or a clitoris and labia majora.  By the end of the week these external genitals are recognizable and it should be easier to see if parents are having a boy or a girl.
All of the vital organs are functioning by the end of the week. Kidneys are producing urine and the pancreas is producing insulin.  At this point, only growing and becoming more efficient is left to do.

Thank you to Health32.com for being a great resource!

10 Weeks and Counting

Look at my little peanut! I am 10 weeks now. I will be 11 on Thursday. Today was the first day that I experienced morning sickness... In the afternoon. I tell you what, that is not fun at all. It seems like every time I stand up I get sick. So for now I am just laying in bed and watching television. The Princess Diaries has been on this evening. Since Weston is working I have the evenings to do whatever. Hopefully his schedule changes as planned very soon. This not seeing him very much thing isn't my favorite. HOWEVER it could be so much worse. I am thankful that I get to see my soldier every day even if it is only for a few hours.

Here is some information about week 10:

Your baby (now the size of a prune) has small indentations on his legs (soon to be knees and ankles!), and his tiny arms even have elbows that bend (how is that for magical?). Inside that little mouth, tiny buds of baby teeth are forming under the gums. His stomach and kidneys are kicking into gear, producing digestive juices and urine, and if it's a boy, his testes are making testosterone (how manly!).

Everything I read about my baby says "he" and "his"... I'm pretty sure no one but God knows if it is a boy or a girl.

Listen Here

I am going to be up front right now. I don't care who you think you are, or where you are from. I know who my true friends are. They have been with me since day one of this journey, and they will still be there when it is done. I absolutely have no need to be around you or hear what you have to say. You are disrespectful of others and a drag to hang out with. I thank the Lord that I figured this out when I did because it was only going to get worse. I don't need you. I don't need to be around you. You know exactly who you are too.

I am an intelligent, successful woman. Your selfishness gives me even more motivation to prove who I am and what I stand for. I will not back down. My mind is set. I have a beautiful family, beautiful home, my own business, a perfect job... But what you don't get is that none of this matters to me. I have my life, and I don't even deserve that much. I have my Lord and Savior. He is the reason why I am here today. He has blessed my life with the things in it.

To my friends back home. Thank you. Thank you for sticking by me. To my best friend in the whole, wide world- Kaitlynn, you are the best and I can never thank you enough for the memories that we have made. I absolutely can't wait to come home and make more.

To my family, you are my world. You are my strength and motivation. I know that I can always lean on each and every one of you for support day and night. With out you, I wouldn't be who I am today.

Being married has taught me a lot. Not only are we our own individual people (WHO HANG OUT WITH WHOEVER WE WANT. WHEN EVER WE WANT) oh, and (WE DON'T TELL EACH OTHER WHO WE CAN HANG OUT WITH BTW) but we are also a circle. We are a never ending circle of faith, love, and hope. Faith in our Lord above that we will make it though the hard times and live another day with one another. Love for each other that will never end. EVER. and Hope that as a married couple and family we will raise our child to be the best person possible. To raise a child that loves God as much as we do. I hated sitting though church as a young child, but I thank my parents in the up most way for exposing me to the blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon me. Additionally, to the Hope for a great today, and a better tomorrow. You are my everything. I love you more than all the Jelly Beans in the world!

You live, you learn, and you move on to the next task in life. Fake friends come and go. You have to have the strength to weed them out of your life. Don't worry, I'm not going to come running back to you for our friendship. It is over. Done. Gone.

I'll pray for you.
Kaitlynn Boldt, you understand praying like no one else!
I'll pray for you, and you, and even you too!

My Front Porch Looking In...

We finally got to move into our new house yesterday late in the evening. We are super excited about all the room we have now. This house is bigger in some areas, smaller than others- but... It's awesome!

Today while Weston was golfing, I spent the day cleaning and making curtains and pillows. I made living room curtains, a matching pillow, and matching curtains for over the kitchen sink. We are going to have an "outdoors" theme in our living room to help us feel a little more at home Colorado style.

Material for the curtains.
I made a top one too with lace on the bottom.
Weston walked into the house and said,
"Awe you put ruffle butts on the curtains!" lol
A better look at the tops.
Our new lamp. They didn't have a chocolate lab.
See the out doors theme?!
The outside of the house is really nice. It needs power washed, but other than that, they have done a lot of improvements on it in the last year and that was part of the reason why we moved over here.

6 foot privacy fence with solar lights around the top.
Front porch.
Front of house.
I don't have enough patience to load this on another browser.
It's our AWESOME front door.
Stay tuned for back yard adventures :)
